CPM is the Cost per Mille. Which stands for Cost per Thousand. Why 1000? Well because it would be hilarious to talk about the cost of ads being $0.00132 or some fraction of a penny. We just multiply by 1000 and it makes everything much easier to conceptualize. CPM of $1.32. We can all imagine what inventory and what we’re expecting to get with $1.32 CPM.
